Spray washing line
The spray washing line is a tunnel with spray stages that remove oil, dirt and rust from parts on the conveyor before coating, followed by a drying oven. The example line on the Turnkey powder coating plant page has two stages; stage count and chemistry follow the metal and the corrosion class. PLC control and a cardan chain conveyor are standard.
| Example line | 2 stages |

| Drying | Tunnel oven |

Technical data
The table shows the standard size. Values marked per project are set from your part and line and appear in the proposal, with the drawing for your size.
Quote for your dimensions| Method | Spray |
|---|---|
| Stages | Per project, example line 2 stages |
| Drying | Tunnel drying oven at the spray exit |
| Conveyor | Cardan chain |
| Control | PLC panel |
How we size it
Tunnel cross-section follows the part envelope; stage length follows the contact time the chemistry needs at the line speed; tank volume follows the spray flow and the drag-out. Drying oven length follows the time the part needs to dry at the line speed.
What it is for
- Removal of oil, dirt and rust from metal surfaces
- Surface preparation for coating adhesion
- Tunnel cross-section for parts of different sizes
Options
- Two to seven stages
- Iron phosphate, zirconium or aluminium conversion
- Stainless steel tanks and heat exchangers
- Rinse-water recycling
Standards
Built to the Machinery Directive with CE Declaration of Conformity; chemistry per your supplier's process sheet.
Values marked "Per project" in the table are set from your part and line, and appear in the proposal.
